The film and the tunes were hypnotizing, they grabbed my eye and I was completely fascinated by how well the film was made in this period yet the antiquated times was reproduced in the most effective way. The parrot was a cherry on the cake and gave a decent turn to the film.
Should look for all individuals of any age to encounter the way of life of Bangladesh and how the lords and their romantic tales happened in that time. By toward the end love and predetermination generally finds its direction and what is bound to be, will happen regardless of the number of fiendish powers or individuals that block the cycle.

The movie and its songs were truly captivating, holding my attention from start to finish. I was thoroughly impressed by how skillfully the film recreated ancient times in such a modern era. The addition of the parrot added a delightful twist, making the movie even more engaging.
It's a must-watch for audiences of all ages who want to immerse themselves in the rich culture of Bangladesh and witness the tales of kings and their love stories from that era. Kajolrekha, directed by Gias Uddin Selim, had the potential to be an extraordinary film, but it falls short in several aspects. The story is simple, yet its adaptation is commendable, maintaining a strong cultural essence. The depiction of Mymensingh's rich traditions and music is a highlight, though the film could have explored even deeper cultural narratives.
While the performances of the lead actors were solid, they weren't extraordinary. The movie's pacing is noticeably slow, making it difficult to stay engaged throughout. Unlike other films that build anticipation, Kajolrekha lacks moments of excitement or hype, which might leave some viewers wanting more. Additionally, the director's approach in presenting female characters in revealing attire seems like an attempt to draw in audiences, which feels unnecessary and out of place for a film of this nature.
Despite its shortcomings, Kajolrekha remains a visually stunning film with artistic merit. However, it could have been a stronger cinematic experience with better storytelling depth and pacing. It's a film worth watching, but it doesn't quite reach the heights it could have.

I watched Kajolrekha in BONGO & truly enjoyed it. There are many folklore of our country which need to be told. I salute the director for bringing Kajalrekha in Silver Screen. Sets are simple but amazing. Too many songs but you will not be bored. Cinematography is excellent. Dialougse are appropriate. Mithila acted her part without any flaws.
Now the flaws. The main cast Mandira. She has zero expression & ruined the movie. Shariful raaz- in which sense he looks like a prince- I don't have any idea. Though he tried to cover it with his vocal and performance. His horse riding sequences are ridiculous. I hope next time the director will be careful about casting.
On the whole, I recommend Kajolrekha to everyone for it's unique storytelling & direction This type of folklore needs to told more.
