I guess that Matthew Davis, Samuel Potts, and Jaycee Lynn were not longer stranded on that Indonesian island any longer than they were. I have a feeling certain passions and hormones would have started kicking in. It certainly did with the Bounty survivors and the Tahitians who went with them to Pitcairn Island.
This same premise two men and a woman stranded on an island was the basis for the classic film The Little Hut with Ava Gardner and her two men Stewart Granger and David Niven. But then none of them were born again Christians.
Potts is a new convert, Lynn is a long standing believer and Davis is the office hunk. All three on a trip to Jakarta in a private plane survive and make it to an uninhabited island. After that it's a struggle to both maintain belief systems and get off the island.
It's a Christian film with Christian parameters in place. I have a feeling had this been done secularly it would look a lot more like The Little Hut.
Believe me none of the players comes close to those three stars.

Calling this a low budget Lost would be an insult to Lost. One of the actors comes across like he's never acted a day in his life (striped polo), the other two aren't much better. Blech.
I thought this movie would of been better, didn't seem like they were stranded on an island at all. The second time the girl got on a plane right after the plane crash there was no hesitation about jumping on a plane again lol.
Predictable plot line, but I enjoyed it.
Then again, I like Hallmark/Hallmarkish movies that are faith based.

Sometimes we can't see what people are really like or make fun of those who are different. We make changes to our lives so we can fit in. Megan is one of those people, ignoring the faith and beliefs she once practiced and now she is one of the club-hopping office girls, too busy for church or even reading her Bible. Mark is a self centered business man who thinks he is too busy for religion. Chris is the hard working "tech guy" who recently became a Christian and likes Megan. Now the three are in an unlikely place that will reveal a great deal about each one of their inner selves.
"Island of Grace" is a compelling story about true survival. Today some Christians get swept into the world around them and forget the true meaning of their life. This is a story about how our Christian life does not have to change so we can "fit in". But rather that it is important to live our lives to the fullest in Him and not worry about the way others in the world around us think. James Welch Henderson, Arkansas 3/21/2021

- PatzerPresuming that the trio flew to Indonesia from Southern California on the U.S. West Coast, it is over 8,300 miles by a direct air route. The small plane they boarded lacked the range to get there. They would have run out of fuel less than halfway there--but of course no sane pilot would attempt such a flight in such a small plane. The only plane that could make such a flight would be a large jetliner such as a Boeing 777.
