You know that one friend who cracks jokes at funerals but somehow makes it poetic? That's First Copy.
It's not your typical Netflix-polished, over-edited, influencer-friendly project where everyone's teeth look like they paid EMI for veneers. No. This one's rough around the edges, and honestly, thank God for that. I'm tired of content pretending to be deep when it's just two good-looking people making eye contact in slow motion.
Munawar, being Munawar, does what he does best, makes you laugh, then slaps you with existential dread mid-chuckle. The kind of humor where you're laughing at a joke and two seconds later, you realize he's basically describing your life, and now you're contemplating your childhood trauma. Beautiful.
Is it flawless? Absolutely not. There are moments so raw it feels like you accidentally opened someone's personal diary. But weirdly, that's the charm. It's like eating street food, you know it might mess you up later, but in that moment, it's exactly what you needed.
Bottom line: First Copy isn't for everyone. It's for people who find comfort in discomfort. The ones who like their jokes with a side of pain and their stories with unresolved endings.

FirstCopy is a complete package gripping storyline, brilliant BGM, and full-on blockbuster energy. This BGM team truly deserves a pat on their back. Totally worth every second.. 3 episodes in and it's already a ride!
Hard to believe it's #MunawarFaruqui's debut - he looks like a seasoned pro. And #AshiSingh delivers a smooth, natural performance. Perfect casting all around.
Every actor introduced in the episode is nailing it. Chemistry between munawar and ashi is too cute. Filled with great one liners. Every expression, every dialogue delivery feels so effortless, yet impactful. It's like he's not even acting he is the character.
Massive respect to Munawar for stepping into acting like this he's clearly here to stay.

The series is a thrilling ride into 90's Mumbai's movie piracy world, starring Munawar Faruqui in a stellar acting debut as Arif, a dreamer turned kingpin. Directed by Farhan P. Zamma, this series blends suspense, romance, and nostalgia with a tight script and strong cast (Krystle D'Souza, Gulshan Grover, Ashi Singh). Munawar's raw charisma shines, backed by a vibrant 90's vibe.
Minor sound issues aside, it's a binge-worthy underdog tale.
It's about ambition, survival, and the lengths one goes to chase dreams in a world stacked against them.
A must-watch for crime drama fans and First Copy is a triumph for Munawar and a gem on MX Player.

The target audience is the masses who find happiness in Simple Content not in Well Trimmed, overly Critic feared ones. Chemistry between the casts shows up beautifully (especially Munawar & Ashi). Saqib's role was vital, Grover ji struggled a bit. Every frame will take you back into 90s. Loved the BGM, dialogue, Simplicity and Munawar's natural charm. Munawar shines throughout and kept it engaging till last Episode. Surely he needs to keep getting better in acting skill but a Amazing Start. Looking forward to next series and hopeful what lacked this season is incorporated in next ( i.e depth in Storyline)
