Needless to say that I had indeed never heard about the 2025 horror movie "The Forest Clown" from writer and director Lukas DiSparrow prior to stumbling upon it by random chance, and opting to watch it since it was a horror movie that I hadn't already seen. However, I have to admit, though, that I harbored zero expectations to the movie, as it's cover was just screaming low budget to High Heavens.
The storyline in the movie was the only thing that was 'horror' about the movie. It was totally devoid of anything exciting, thrilling or scary. And it was so insanely slow paced that I absolutely lost all interest in it and picked up my phone to browse social media contents instead. So writer Lukas DiSparrow utterly failed to impress me with this 2025 travesty of a movie.
I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list, which is actually something I do enjoy whenever I sit down to watch a movie. The acting performances were not too shabby.
Would I recommend you to waste 79 minutes on watching this garbage? No, not even remotely. This was a massive swing and a miss of an attempt at making a horror movie.
The movie's trailer even boasted "zero budget masterpiece". Masterpiece? Sure, if you compare it against nothing at all.
My rating of writer and director Lukas DiSparrow's 2025 excuse of a horror movie movie "The Forest Clown" lands on a very, very generous one out of ten stars.

I went into The Forest Clown with modest expectations, knowing it was a zero-budget indie slasher, but I have to say-I was pleasantly surprised. The film leans into classic horror clichés with a playful edge, and while the budget constraints are obvious, the passion behind it shines through.
It's nothing groundbreaking, but it works because the film embraces its tropes rather than trying to subvert them.
What really stood out to me was the cast. Despite the film's limitations, the young actors absolutely carried it. Their performances felt surprisingly natural, making their characters more than just typical horror-movie fodder. You could tell they were giving it their all, and that effort made a huge difference.
Visually, the film does what it can with its setting. The forest itself adds a great eerie atmosphere, and while the effects are clearly low-budget, they're used effectively.
Overall, The Forest Clown is the kind of indie horror that makes up for its lack of polish with sheer heart. It's fun and self-aware. If you appreciate grassroots horror filmmaking and don't mind some rough edges, it's definitely worth a watch.

Pretty funny and some good camera work.
If you Drop all expectations and leave yourself open, you will enjoy this.
Great story great acting. I love a good story set in the woods.
Only thing i struggled with is the sound, it did irritate me at times but i guess everyone has there issues when working with no budget.
The best thing i enjoyed was the camera tricks and the great ise of magic tricks on top. Very clever.
Again leave yourself open to enjoy the writing and the story trying to be told and you will enjoy this peice of art.
Definitely hope to see this picked up and shot with a full budget.

The storyline is both sad and poignant. A young child, being treated badly by his grandfather and so-called friends runs away into the woods. He develops otherworldly abilities while also seeking revenge for the taunts and humiliations of his childhood.
Some great acting by the ensemble cast and the resulting film is very watchable.
If blood and gore are your thing, this may not have enough to satisfy you totally, but the effects are convincing and the fright-factor kept sufficiently high.
Filmed entirely in Virginia Water, Surrey, on an exceedingly tight budget, the film still manages to offer scope of character, an interesting storyline and some great scenery, too.
A very watchable film.

This movie isn't even worth watching to laugh at. There is not one single redeemable aspect to it. The fact they have someone involved throwing an 8 at it is just the tip of the iceberg as to how pathetic this piece of theatric garbage really is.
I would much rather spend my time sliding down a hill that is covered in barbed wire and broken glass with no clothes on than have to sit through the first 15 minutes of this "film" again. I have turned off only a handful of movies in my time. I have sat through Manos, I have sat through Skinned Deep. I could not sit through this.
Absolute waste of time.
