Unless you've got kids between the ages of 8-10, I would really recommend not wasting your time on this movie. The entire story feels like complete nonsense, with no real plot or direction. It's hard to stay engaged when nothing makes sense, and the pacing is painfully slow. Even the action scenes, which you'd expect to be fast-paced and exciting, are really sluggish with absolutely no surprises or thrilling moments. The acting doesn't help either - it felt like the actors were just reading lines off the script, with no emotion or effort to make their performances believable. It was difficult to connect with any of the characters because everything felt flat and forced. It's clear that the movie is meant for a younger audience, but even then, it falls short of being entertaining. If you're hoping for something fun or engaging, you'll be disappointed. Save yourself the frustration and skip this one. There are plenty of better options out there!
The storyline holds genuine promise and could have developed into something truly compelling. However, the acting is distractingly poor, lacking emotional depth, timing, and authenticity. Characters feel flat, and crucial scenes lose impact due to wooden delivery and unconvincing performances. It's frustrating to watch a story with such potential be dragged down by a cast that seems disconnected from both the material and each other. With stronger performances, this could have been a standout production-but as it stands, the weak acting overshadows everything else. Should be made again with better Actors.
Ok so I don't usually put up reviews unless the movie is bad , and this movie ozzes bad , let's start with the acting the actors are c movie worthy not b movie but c movie worthy . The story to me seems like an 8 year old kid watched jaws and told his daddy the movie maker to make this. The movie starts off with two kids playing in low water and a shark takes one of them fair enough . Fast forward in to the movie there a guy trying to kill the shark with striknen. But the shark nudges the boat and low and behold he dies from his own poison might I ad the CGI is terrible I can't believe this .ade it in to the cinema . Stay well clear of this .
Let's face it, as with any shark movie, you watch it to see the shark chomping on fresh meat. The character back stories are optional. We want to see the shark!
Twenty years ago Alan's brother was killed by a shark. He returns to his hometown hoping to lay the past to rest, and to punch Ron (his uncle, who was supposed to watch them when they were kids, and his negligence in doing so resulted in Alan's brother's death).
The Annual fishing tournament is coming up, but there's no fish. Mayor Wendy Stuart hires an explosives expert to blow up an underwater section of the dam so fish can make its way into the lake. Her brother Will is the first to spot the shark in the lake, but Wendy doesn't believe him and only cares about the tournament.
Alan meets Lisa, who runs the local pub/restaurant, and becomes the romantic interest. I enjoyed the chemistry between them. Ok, so Alan and Ron doesn't get along, but with the shark back in the lake, they realize they have to put there differences aside and work together to bring an end to the shark. Let the hunt begin!
The shark effects are not too bad considering this to be a very low budget film, and it was also nice to see them using real sharks (CGI off course for the attack scenes). I also enjoyed the fact this was shot on location (due to budget constraints) and not by simply using green screens. With some gorgeous aerial shots I could see they made an effort to make this movie look good - and it does.
'Shark Warning' might not be another 'Jaws' but it certainly is better than many other low budget shark movies out there. With great locations and handsome actors allowing for some eye candy, 'Shark Warning' is a very entertaining creature feature.

For a movie shot in 6 days, this is well done and entertaining. I like that this Asylum movie has a full story arc and character development. Lake Havasu looks great too! The movie starts 20 years in the past and give the rest of the story context. The shark looks great throughout except for a few shots. But overall, this is a great summer shark movie and it's a nice homage to Jaws. A true Shark movie lover will enjoy this journey. Even though it's a smaller budget movie, it's much better than most movies of this level and even movies that have huge budgets. So give it a chance, sit back with some popcorn, and enjoy it for what it is... a summer shark movie!

- PatzerThe movie lists itself as filmed on Lake Havasu in Arizona, however all the boats shown on camera have CANADIAN registration numbers? Something is rotten in Arizona?
