Call it Hallmark Horror.

This was a fun indie film with substance and a subtle layer of political commentary.

I loved how it leaned more into drama and tongue-in-cheek humor rather than just being weird, gross, or relying on cheap scares like most studio horror films and their sequels. It plays like a parody of classic teen horror movies-almost as if it were channeling the original script for Slumber Party Massacre.

The characters were memorable, and the cast delivered strong performances, though the effects weren't great. That might have been intentional, but I'm not sure.

Overall, it's kinda brilliant, with a nonchalant sense of humor. But if you're expecting something truly scary, you might be disappointed.
