Meet Me Under the Bleachers

I had the pleasure of seeing "Meet Me Under The Bleachers" last year, and found everything about this film extremely Inventive. I find myself doing this, and I see other young filmmakers choosing between spectacle and emotion and deciding whether a movie should be "cool and fun, and not all dramatic" or "real and grounded," and frankly, depressing. I think the creators of this film had a deep understanding of what they wanted to make, and made the characters not afraid to laugh and enjoy moments of their lives.

The film doesn't limit itself to that reality, though it starts in this reality, it doesn't stop there, allowing itself to be magical in a way that not only captures the feelings and anticipations of a high school romance, but heightens them.

This film is visually daring, yet emotionally true, from the first scene to the last. I highly recommend. 10/10.
