Stalker

To me, this has been disappointing TV season. I started watching "Scandal" with great expectations, but after six episodes I decided to call it quits; "Scandal" is crap, predictable and always swinging for the lowest hanging fruit. Same for "Masters of Sex", which has been very dull. So with the sour taste still in my mouth from those disappointments, I didn't expect much if anything from "Stalker", but ...

it's a good show. The characters are written and acted well enough that I can't guess what's going to happen next, and the dynamics between the two-woman/two-man cast of main characters is compelling enough that their histories and interaction keep pulling me into the story.

So I'm adding this to my list of great shows: Walking Dead, Suits, Orange is the New Black, The Good Wife, Mad Men, Sherlock, The Americans, True Detective, etc.

When you aren't trying to compare this to other crime shows, which it isn't, and watch it as it is intended, you'll find it is really well put together. I didn't care who directed it, wrote it, or what thev've done previously, so my judgment wasn't clouded by expectations of what it "will be like". I just am enjoying what it is.

Maggie Q is awesome at both hard and fragile sides to her character as is Dylan McDermott. I loved Mariana Klaveno in True Blood, so I'm expecting big things from her here as well.

The plots so far have been well thought out, believable and very creeper, creepy. If you've ever worried about being followed or foot shadows at your door at night, this is the show for you.

If you are checking out the reviews you will notice that the earlier ones are very negative at times about gratuitous violence against women in this show, if the reviewers had actually bothered to wait until they had seen a couple of episodes before judging they would come to realise that men get their fair share of gratuitous violence against them too. Is the show violent.. yes, but no more violent than many other 10pm shows. The ongoing narrative is good, the 'case of the week' is diverse and in many instances a bit different from the majority of what has gone before in the cop genre. Stalker certainly delivers some proper edge of the seat moments. Don't let the one episode wonders who seem to know everything on day one put you off, this is good TV.

I absolutely love this show! and I was very upset to find out that it might get canceled! ;/ Why cancel something so awesome and renew something so crappy as NCIS New Orleans? I mean COMMON! We already have a NCIS several actually.

This show shows a serious issue and how to deal with it. It's well done! and the actors are awesome! I love Maggie Q! This show makes my heart skip several beats and my heart is often in my throat because it's so damn exciting! It's Ringer all over again! That show was also awesome, I felt my interest totally occupied with that show just as it does with Stalker. Whenever I watch other things I get easily distracted by my computer or even my phone! Pleas let stalker be!

Having seen so many TV shows so far, I still can't believe THIS ONE wasn't renewed for a second season. Such an amazing show, actors are perfect, not to mention good-looking, all of them, but like I said, more importantly, SO good at acting and, I mean, the way the story is developed... it's just WOW. I really don't understand how some stupid, bad quality shows stay on TV for such a long time and this one doesn't get to stay.
