Guts & Glory

Thought this was gonna be a fun horror reality competition kinda like Scare Tactics (but actually good) but its clear in the first ep that half (or all?) of the competitors are actors. I guess if they hired good actors they'd be too recognizable so we have amateur hour and the stereotypical reality show characters they're trying to portray as real people just do not land. This makes the whole thing come off as totally fake and too hard to tell what is a setup vs real. I wouldn't care so much if it wasn't supposed to be a competition, but it's just sooooo cheesy with the fake scared reactions and clearly staged scenarios. PASS.

Why not just make it a real reality show? Why hire actors to pretend? It only took ten minutes to be totally annoyed by the bad acting and unrealistic scripts. It would have been a cool concept if they had actually done it. Reality TV has been scripted before, and it didn't look this fake. I'd really like to see this show for real.

First thing is it's supposed to be a game show yet it seems entirely fake. Next is a game show that doesn't talk about prizes??? Right off the bat I had the feeling that the contestant's was actually part of the show and I don't mean as actual players as actors really bad actors. In my honest opinion this show is not original and is nothing more than watching people going through a haunted attraction.

They literally gathered a bunch of bland and boring people to do simple tasks with a hint of macabre and called it "scary."

it's fake scripted "reality tv" ... pretty sure the contestants are actors due to their cringe reactions to everything going on around them. Save your time watching this and watch dragula or something instead.

It feels like this show was more for the people who were working in it than for the audience. It seems like the cast and crew had a great time and it was really fun for them, but the end result wasn't that entertaining. You immediately are aware that everyone's an actor and they know what's going on. It just sort of takes any stakes out of it.

They should've either gone fully in on the competition with real people who didn't know what they were getting into or gone fully in on it being scripted and made a TV show about a TV show... The best episode out of them was the one where they showed the making of it. It would've been cool to just do a practical effects competition.
