I was drawn to After The Hunt because of Luca Guadagnino and the stellar cast, but once the first Woody Allen-esque scene is done, the film takes an extremely slow and uninteresting pace that makes the dialogue and characters somewhat infuriating to understand or even care about throughout the film. If it had been a faster pace, tighter script, and focused on the core story, it could've been an enjoyable watch. The acting is still really solid and the shots are beautiful with a score that is tantalizing, as always in Luca's films.

The one thing I've learned after watching this episode is this: Unfunny people like to review-bomb too. This episode is a 10/10. From a great monologue, funny sketches, and hilarious bits that didn't even make it to the show (Limu Emu), Shane Gillis carried this entire series in his first episode since his firing. He made SNL and Michaels & Co. Really regret their decision. This felt like SNL in the 90s. It was funny, it was silly, it was everything you hoped for and looked forward while the weekdays moved closer to Saturday night. Controversies aside, whether they were even valid or not for the punishment, this episode was a win for comedy.

This movie is a subtle joy to watch. It doesn't go over any boundaries and stays on the line of where the characters are in their lives, and the escapism within their tiny connection. The script is precise and the scenes are never rushed, and always get the point across. The calm Parisian background is nice alongside the great cinematography. The musical choices are a pretty touch, and some moments are different with a welcoming twist. For a first film, I think Suzanne knocked it out of the park. Her acting and delivery was sincere and spot on, same for Arnaud Valois. It was a sweet telling of curious love.
