When I first watched Bojack horseman, I expected what most people did. Another adult sit com. I have always loved adult sitcoms from Archer to American dad, so I had no problem loving the comedy in this show, but it is so much more than that. I will review it season by season, up to season 3(go watch the show!)

this show's first season is not the greatest, I think it is the most middle ground tv show season I have seen from a adult cartoon(maybe archer season 7 is a middle ground as well). I do not blame it for being middle ground as they really had to find out what they wanted to do at this time. This season is way more comedic than the others, and that's fine. It is so funny to go back to this season just to see how it has changed. The finale is very good though.

Season 2 for me is where the show really gets good. Every character from the main character Bojack to even a small character like the director, get some sort of small character art that makes them feel real in some sort of way. To the point where I thought they were real in some way, the characters are written so well.

Season 3 has the greatest episode of a TV, PERIOD. The episode fish out of water, episode 4 of season 3. The episode itself has 2 minutes of dialogue, that is IT!. It conveys so much emotion for so little it has. By the end of the episode it had me in tears, I love this episode so much. I will not say much more than that. Not to underestimate the rest of the season, the finale made me cry(one of only 3 movies or shows too). Lots of characters get their character art resolved here and it feels perfect for their character
