This true crime is really heart breaking. I cant imagine what the poor family has had to deal with over the last 3 decades.
I agree with other reviewers who are curious about Nicola's boyfriend and family. Was he adequately ruled out? One of her brothers eluded to the fact that the boyfriend had a brother I believe. Was everyone's whereabouts and fingerprints/DNA collected.
I know some things were limited in the 90's as far as criminal law but I certainly hope the police did everything they could to investigate the boyfriend and his family.
The two men who were found not guilty also seem like very good suspects. But it seems like the jury were not convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt.
I feel bad also for the police officers who worked so hard and probably made some promises to the family that they maybe shouldn't have.
And yes the documentary was a little long but it was done very well. It's so sad that Nicola's mum went to her grave not knowing what happened to her baby girl.

I really do still like this show. But I have to say I am not sad about it ending in one more week. I think being able to watch it all at once would have done this series better.
It seems to be dragging out for very little pay off. I'm sure the last episode next week will be great. It may not come to any conclusion, thus leading up to season two. Who knows.
I believe there was not enough time to find out Todd's complete motives and see a more in depth backstory like Volcheck. Now that was a great villain.
Todd is portrayed as this evil genius always two steps ahead. It gets a little old after a while.
Anyways, still looking forward to next week and possibly a second season.
