Often mistakenly credited with voicing the "Previously on Lost" narration heard at the beginning of most episodes of "Lost" (2004), in fact this was recorded by Lloyd Braun, chairman of ABC from 2002 to November 2004.

On 24 (2001) he played the father of a woman named Kate who becomes romantically involved with a man named Jack. On Perdidos (2004), he plays the father of a man named Jack who becomes romantically involved with a woman named Kate.

As of the passing of David Hedison in 2019, Terry is both the earliest and oldest actor to have portrayed James Bond ally Felix Leiter in the EON James Bond film franchise.
