Matthew Jacobs is originally from Oyster Bay, NY. He performed stand-up comedy before earning his MFA in play-writing from The Actors Studio Drama School at New School University. He is the grandson of legendary Broadway producer Bernard B. Jacobs. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Production Designer Irena Jacobs.
