Daughter of actor/director <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0645760/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Eiji Okuda</a>, and sister of filmmaker <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm3614508/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Momoko Andô</a>.

She and her eventual husband were directed together by her father in a film in 2013.
