The jury found the film to be a treat, full of narrative surprises and delightful tonal shifts, and that rare beast of a film - one where the material design itself (a world covered in fuzzy wool) lends an unmistakable expressivity to the landscape of the film and characters in it. The narrative's tender, scary, and surreal episodes culminate in a fantasy with an unexpected and captivating conclusion.

"Several of the animated shorts at this year's festival were inventive and startling, but our winner was a truly exceptional piece of work. This humorous, moving and ultimately sublime short tells a story of life, death and rebirth with wobbly thighs, vomit, breastfeeding, space travel and bunny rabbits - all against the backdrop of a nudist colony. Made of the simplest materials - wool and felt - and using stop motion photography, the film elicits a raft of complex emotions in a deeply instinctive, honest way.

The jury was impressed by the use of materials used to create the characters and the sets, the stop-motion technique, the fantasy and poetry of the storytelling.
