Williams earned his degree in film from the Cinema Department of Los Angeles City College. His
debut feature film, Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo, became one of the most awarded films in
Philippine cinema history, garnering 22 accolades, including three Best Picture wins and two
Best Director awards from the Star Awards and the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and
Sciences (FAMAS), the country's most prestigious award-giving body.
Williams showcased his directorial range with his next two films. The Escort, an erotic thriller, became a nationwide blockbuster, while A.W.O.L., a military action film produced in collaboration with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, contributed to the resurgence of the action genre in Philippine cinema. His third film, Mga Mata sa Dilim, premiered exclusively on iWant TV, the first streaming platform from the country's largest television network, ABS-CBN.
Following his achievements, Williams directed his first TV series, Ang Probinsyano, on ABS-CBN for two consecutive years. Under his direction, the show achieved record-breaking ratings, becoming the longest-running and most successful primetime series in Philippine television history. He later joined GMA Network, where he now directs Encantadia Sanggre, the network's flagship series. Williams stands as the only director to helm the two biggest franchises from the country's top television networks.
Williams created campaign ads for four senators, along with a presidential ad for the 16th Philippine President, Rodrigo Duterte. He also developed campaign materials for Senator Imee Marcos in collaboration with the 17th President, Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
In 2020, Williams led the comprehensive media branding of the Philippine Army's YouTube channel. He also produced projects for the Department of National Defense, the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
