Sjors Swierstra

Award-winning documentary filmmaker based in the Netherlands, known for exploring complex themes through experimental storytelling. His work has been broadcast on television and screened at renowned international festivals including IDFA, SXSW, the Venice Biennale, the Netherlands Film Festival, Go Short, On Art Film Festival, Forum des Images and Docville. Swierstra's films have received critical acclaim. The World According to Monsieur Khiar was nominated for both the Gouden Kalf and Prix Europa, while Dimension of Absence won an Honorable Mention at the On Art Film Festival in Poland and won the Impact Award at The Fine Arts Film Festival in Venice, California.
