Quendrith Johnson

Born and raised on Beacon Hill in Boston, Quendrith attended Boston Latin briefly before moving West. She graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, before being accepted into UCLA Film School in the MFA Screenwriting program. As an MFA graduate of UCLA Film School, she won the Marty Klein Comedy Award from APA, and a nod in UCLA's Samuel Goldwyn Awards for screenplay "Choosing Paula." She's a Nicholl Semi-finalist for script "Jazz Age Doll," and wrote "The Wendy Years (1977-1987)" in 2015. She has served as a show writer for The Annual Satellite Awards, presented by the International Press Academy, and once collaborated with Gore Vidal. Quendrith has written two books, REDLIGHT, GREENLIGHT, LIMELIGHT, Hollywood Journalism 101; and a novel about David Foster Wallace, entitled DFW's Posthumous Masterclass (available on Amazon.com). Also a Digerati, Quendrith Johnson is the founder of Screenmancer.tv, "a gathering place for people who make movies" that is included in the book "Innovating Women: The Changing Face of Technology" (2014) by Vivek Wadhwa and Farai Chideya, which named her an Ambassador for Women in Technology. As of 2017, she's working on a follow-up novel, and screenplay "American Custody" set for 2019.
