WillieMae H Adetunji

Adetunji decided to take a break from working in mental health to pursue her love of screenwriting. She wrote a pilot script and entered it into a screenwriting contest. Though the script did not place in the contest, it became part of her admission packet to Lesley University's creative writing program. A filmmaking course at Lesley ignited Adetunji's love of filmmaking, and she wrote and produced her first short film, "Legal Retribution" in 2016. Fall 2017, she wrote and produced her second short film, "Thursday, November Thirtieth" which marked her directorial debut. Both short films are streaming on YouTube. The film, "Thursday, November Thirtieth" was screened as part of Adetunji's graduation requirements at Lesley University. And on January 13, 2018, she earned her MFA degree in Creative Writing. Adetunji has written three short scripts, two full-length scripts, two television pilot scripts and a one-act play.
