It feels like John Stamos wrote the script and directed everything. I feel soooo much Full House/Fuller House vibes in this show.
But no, I'm not complaining, it's really funny and sweet comedy. It's not even overdone. It has tho this cliche point, where every episode starts with the bad-guy-trying-to-be-good messing things up and end with him making everything better.
But well, the actors are good and when this cliche point and Full House vibes don't bother you, then it's actually really worth the watch.
But I hate that it ended, the ending was sooo interesting and they literally ended at the most interesting part!!!
John Stamos excels in "Grandfsthered".Superb character development throughout.I much prefer Stamos as a Grandfater over being Uncle Jesse.Loved seeing Bob Staget cameo. The portrayed situations are very believable. This show is definitely a highlight of the new season.I shall be tuning in every week. The baby is adorable.Stamos plays his role in a charming believable manner. The support characters are well cast, particularly the son.I look forward to watching the progress of Stamos establishing relationships with his Sonn,Granddaughter,Grandmother and his restaurant staff as they adjust to his new persona. It is interesting to witness the background of the restaurant business.
Well another comedy by Fox along with the grinder and looking to reserve a slot between the Hit Brookline Nine-Nine and the Last man on earth ... it got "as always" a new fresh original plot .. the script seemed fine with more than a couple of laughable moments.
The chemistry between John Stamos and Josh Peck is noticeably delightful and tempting to keep on watching and crossing the line there's Paget Brewster whom i really love.
Daniel Chun is a really talented young writer and he thrived on Simpsons and now making a really creative show with a catchy story.
The show overall is Okay and it is recommended to be watched but still need to know what the situation would be on Fox as not all shows survive on the network as they ordered 3 episodes and with possibility to double it but that is still not a clear picture of the show future.

Honestly, a little late but started watching this during the christmas break! Such a comedic, diverse cast and theirs good representation so their something for everyone.
I loved the premise of this show. It's hard not to love a show where lost family members find each other; Although the son Gerald was a bit annoying his funny/cute relationship with his girlfriend and dad made him bearable. It would of been nice to see more moments between Jimmy and Gerald. Also how hilarious was the mum such perfect comedic timing, I spent the entirety of this show rooting for her to get with a decent guy and was sad when they made jimmy lie like that at the end.

I know know, I know... Ratings are everything. Not enough viewers means no more seasons. But (based on ratings on IMDB) I really do believe this show could become a BIG hit. If investors just had enough gut... and enough patience. But no. Too bad. It's a great show with the perfect actors for this kind of show. One can only hope for a second chance...
¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesIn an interview, Paget Brewster said that during her audition she treated John Stamos "like a child" and that's how she got the part of Sara.
- Citas
Gerald: Every Friday night I watch a movie at home with Mom.
Jimmy Martino: That's the saddest sentence I've ever heard.
