Screen play. Steerike ooone! Acting. Steerike twooo! CGI. Steerike threeee. OUT! Bruce Willis has gone from Unbreakable to Unwatchable. Adrien Brody should have his Academy Award confiscated. I tried fast-forwarding to the good parts. There weren't any. This film is so bad, it made me nostalgic for Pearl Harbor! The worst part: My girlfriend can't get her dollar back from Redbox.
Instead of watching the movie, spend time reading the reviews... it's way more entertaining! This movie makes a mockery of the historical significance of the events that took place in China. It's insulting to the people who lived it and insulting to our intelligence. An opportunity was surely missed.
This is an impressively bad film! However, as the CGI airplane fights are fun, I gave it a 2 instead of a well deserving 1. I never expected to see Bruce Willis in such a low standards film, but I guess the international economic crisis is forcing stars of old, to become more "flexible".
This movie is about the fight of the Chinese against the evil Japanese. The true crime though is the terrible acting, direction and script. In my humble opinion one can make a great movie with only one cheap camera as long as there are a few good actors and a good solid script.
Bruce Willis can not make up for the luck of script guys.
Next time pay for better writers instead.
REVIEW - THE BOMBING (AIR STRIKE)
I love Chinese cinema, because even though the stories may be simple the action is usually none stop and this film set during the second world war is the same, the CGI aerial dog fight scenes are absolutely stunning but.......
A collaboration between Hollywood and Chinese cinema has brought you possibly Bruce Willis's worst film EVER!
Again we see Bruce at his worst and I can only imagine how much he was getting paid for this because in every scene he is in it is memorable for one reason, the reason being you just want to skip him forward to return to the stunning scenery, effects and the CGI dog fights.
Chinese cinema is famous for going big and in this story of 5 people trying to transport a piece of equipment through China whilst having every Japanese plane dropping bombs on and around them is at times quite enjoyable but if you can put up with a terrible script, dubbed actors and of course Bruce then give it a try and just enjoy the scenery, special effects and the dog fights otherwise avoid like you would a bomb being dropped on your head from a great height.
Yes you've guessed it, money equals Bruce Willis in his worst film ever!
I hope he's not this bad in Glass.

I wonder what bruce Willis was paid for this poorly directed, badly acted and jarringly edited film. From B grade animations, to woefully boring dialogue, The Strike is moore like The Miss, real bomb of a movie....three stars
¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesThe original cut of the movie ran over 5 hours.
- PifiasThe Japanese bomber pilot says to open bomb bay doors. Shots of the plane's exterior show bombs attached directly to the fuselage and no bomb bay doors to open. The Japanese bombers have internal bomb bays which needed to be opened and bombs carried externally.
- Versiones alternativasThe US release, re-titled "Air Strike", is cut by 25 minutes from the original 121-minute Chinese version. It also dubs all the Chinese language sections of the film. Other releases, such as the UK (under the title "The Bombing"), feature the original version with part-English, part-Chinese dialogue.
