A perfect horror film without any melodrama and unnecessary romance . all did well but GURMEET CHOUDHARY was phenomenal as Varun , he hooked us with his character by his extraordinary acting . his expressions were mind blowing , he nailed it totally so claps for him 👏

Amazing husband and wife, past memories good all characters not that fun. As Sarika possessed Varun, his brother killed her but Varun escaped from there. Vikram went to the prison many times. I like it little they can do better than that. So graceful and big flop. Gurmeet what a big handsome actor. High level great man love his beautiful wife little daughter. I like him so much my favorite. To the best man and may he get blessings. We should be happy to have him. He is going to the best actor ever in the world. John Abraham has 6 packs than him and sometimes they should meet each other and do movies. Vicky Kaushal nice actor maybe 2nd choice.

The plot of the movie is the same old- married couple moving into a house and things started going wrong and in the climax it's revealed that who among the three- pati, patni or the ghar, has a history with the ghost. The story itself is extremely mediocre and the end even more predictable. What disappointed me the most were the cliche tactics of provoking fear in the viewer. The opening and closing of doors, things mysteriously disappearing from its place, weird noises (music composer trying his best to make it sound fearful) and some shadow sitting inside the cupboard. Aren't these done and dusted in Ramsay movies, already? Gimmicky characters and bad makeup of our dear ghosts make it worse. Performances are quite average. Frankly, I feel the actors don't have much to do in any horror film as it's primarily the direction and screenplay which infuses fear than the acting per se. Gurmeet and Sayani are decent but unfortunately they had a weak film in hand.

Overall, give your brain rest by taking a good 1.5 hour sleep rather than investing it in watching The Wife. I would say it's blah-worthy and rate it 3 stars.

Its a fine movie.its not bad or very good movie.... ..bcz these kind of movies good or bad the director has to be given credit...AFTER RGVs BHOOT...the Trend of Apartment Horror started... Hope to see good movies from the directors next film..and hope not to see comercial films from him...

Going by the reviews, I was expecting somewhat scary movie but the movie is not at all scary. This sums up the review actually. If a horror movie fails to scare even a bit, it fails.

The plot of the movie is so very predictible. A couple moves into a new house and began to experience new happenings. The wife took some help of a professor and soon the old mystry begins to unfold.

The story is pretty much average and some very old cliche tactics they used in the movie to scare the audience. I mean come on, we have seen these tactics in hundreds of film and these don't work anymore.

The story moves from one plot to another without any explanations. I agree, you don't need an explanation in a predictible script but then scenes should look convincing.

Sarmad Khan's direction is pointless. No any special mention for him. There's hardly anything he should be given credit.

Actors are pretty average ones. Sayani Datta is pretty but lacks convinction. Gurmeet Choudhary tries and does a decent job but lacks conviction. There's a thing with TV actors, they refuse to come out of television when they are facing camera for a feature film. That's the main reason why most of the TV actors fails to make a mark in cinemas.

All in all, Avoid this one. There's pretty much amazing scary movies out there.
