Dark Hoser

'Dark Hoser (2017)' is a short film available on 'The Lego Batman Movie (2017)' Blu-ray in which Batman is questioned about his nationality when trying to join the Justice League of America. The concept of the short is focused entirely around the fact that Will Arnett, who voices Batman, is Canadian. The central joke of the piece only really works if you know that, which most people probably won't; worse still, it's not particularly funny even if you do. Still, its silly premise allows for some enjoyably obvious, stereotype-based but good-natured humour. It's an amusing little effort, and it also appears to have been created with real LEGO figures using charming stop-motion animation (rather than the 'fake' stop-motion animation of the feature it accompanies). It's very minor, but it's good enough for what it is.
