A shortened 30-minute version was aired during a rerun in 13 June, 1980. It's missing three scenes (~5 minutes) involving the medals from the Mayor of Tampere:
After the others have left the room, the Mayor of Tampere approaches Riku a little longer, handing three medals for the Karvakuonot. They've set an example in keeping the town tidy.
In the scene that follows, Ransu and Elmeri are outside the building, talking about a lunch in the city centre. Riku hastily arrives and tries to tell about the medals, but the others are too hungry to listen.
The third scene happens on S/S Satu right before the end credits. Ransu and Elmeri are talking on the deck about life jackets and music (and briefly about the factories in Tampere before that), when Riku finally presents them the medals. With medals on their chests, the proud trio look on the horizon.
