Harry Gribbon and Kewpie Morgan run a tailoring shop -- get it? -- when brother-in-law Billy Bevan shows up in a sailor suit, along with his dog, Cameo. So naturally we get a short sequence of amusing things happening in the tailor shop, a tall tale from Bevan about how he came upon a string of five-and-dime-store pearls off a palm beach in Siberia, and a poker game.
This Mack Sennett two-reeler is made by Cameo, one of several animals on the Sennett lot who could be called in to improve a movie. Gribbon, Morgan, and Bevan are pretty much white-faced clowns here, called on for big reactions and highly competent but standard gag sequences. Cameo, a small dog with a laughing face is a well trained animal who gets her timing perfect and the laugh laugh on everyone.
