Beyond Gravity

It played as a short (it's only about 50 minutes) with a full length movie. It's a quirky and cute tale of two guys falling in love. One is rather brash, obnoxious and pushy. The other is shy, quiet and a bit of a nerd. The pushy guy basically gets the other guy to come out of his shell. This was shot in New Zealand and seeing a gay film that is set there was kind of surprising. Also (for 1988) this was pretty ahead of its time. The film isn't perfect--the low budget shows quite a bit; there's a needlessly bloody beating; some of the acting is bad; the story has its weak spots and (at times) the sound is inaudible. Still, the two lead actors are handsome and the tone of the film is very gentle and romantic. A very good quirky feel good gay film. Worth catching.

A pretty nice homosexual romance .

Two very different men, an accident at library of one of them, the help from the other, a diary and a relation with some tough moments after a jacket is lost and the truth becomes obvious .

One Kiwi, one Italian. And an energetic sister .

Charming, sweet and proposing few precious drops of nostalgia about a lost period. And a form of ingenuity , well crafted, well used , for who i am just grateful.

Sure , a very simple - to simplistic, in good measure, film- but saved by acting and by fresh atmosphere - not ignoring the humor. In short, delightful. And this just matters.
