I remember watching this show in my childhood. For all what I remember, this was a pretty good show, with funny characters, interesting and unpredictable stories.
This series combined live action puppets with animation, and the result was quite cute and pretty to watch. Also, this show was very funny to watch, mostly because for the characters: All of them, from the grumpy and nostalgic Captain Blue Bear to his somewhat cynical grandchildren, made the show work very well.
For all what I know, this series was inspired in a book which I have never read, I but I guess that it must be pretty good if it inspired such a good series as this.
