Ouch! this movie is bad. How low can you? Full of clichés, bad script, unfunny when it's suppose to be.
Roy Dupuis pretends to be gay so he can keep making money buying art. The only bright spot in this one is the presence of Patrick Huard. I find him to be very funny.
Of course, I understand that's it's supposed to be a farce. But it ain't one. I've seen this scenario in I don't know how many sitcom from the "Belle province". Do not waste two hours of your time with this one. There's better movie from Quebec, believe me.
Out of 100, I give it 57. That's good for only * out of ****.

Roy Dupuis has superb comic timing and wonderful chemistry with Patrick Huard. This is a great movie to watch when you need cheering up. Very funny performances from the whole cast and wonderful French Canadian locations. Definitely worth buying and watching again and again.
Dismissed by some narrow-minded or hyper-sensitive critics as a cliche'-ridden sitcom, full of the usual 90s yuppy stereotypes, J'EN SUIS is really a well-made, funny urban comedy. If the themes stated can be freshly presented and funny, why can't this be a great film? It is. Nobody should be offended. The film in my opinion just wants to make you laugh. It never insults any minority group, and it succeeds exceedingly. Throw in Quebec's best two young actors (Roy Dupuis and Patrick Huard), the sexy French star Arielle Dombasle, and a glossy cinematic vision of Montreal, and J'EN SUIS becomes even more enjoyable. The blend of Canadian and French actors produce a blend of French understandable by all Francophones (unlike many modern films which use variations not understood by those on the other side of the Atlantic), and humor accessible to all, free of regionalisms or cultural slants. Don't miss this beautifully photographed, funny film, now available in video with English subtitles.
« J'en suis » is without a doubt one the crappiest movies ever been made in Quebec (and, believe me, i've seen a lot of bad movies in my life). Even without mentioning the fact that it's full of the worst cliches on gays as well as on artists or on anything else it despicts, the plot is lousy, the situations are ridiculous (not in an intended way) and the dialogs are simply atrocious. Avoid losing two hours of your short lives on this deliberately low aiming piece of junk; go take a walk instead, you'll feel healthier and, above all, smarter...

Very cute and very funny film, in French with English subtitles, though I doubt any of the females will be reading them, since the "visuals" in this movie are not to be missed. As he always is, Roy Dupuis is beautiful and charismatic, and Patrick Huard is just hysterical. This movie is just fun to watch on a gloomy day.
