O Descarte

Anselmo Duarte directs this national thriller with neat sequences and a great cast: Glória Menezes, Fernando Torres, Mauro Mendonça, Ziembinski, Carlos Vereza (in an unbelievable scene on top of a moving motorcycle). With unusual framings for Brazilian cinema at the time, the film has certain dramatic coherence and only in some scenes does it slip into the commonplace, such as in shots of a couple running near a lake. The curious aspect is the presence of Ronnie Von, strangely dubbed by Daniel Filho, but with a correct performance. The movie is worth seeing for its technical aspects and musical score including the great Marcio Montarroyos.
