Mixing elements of Kerouac, Morrison, and Cobain, THE NEW GODS involves a poet that questions his morality in the underground music scene of a small town.
A rocking good time for a micro-budget festival film. Trippy, with some cool dialogue, and intense, emotionally charged scenes. The sometimes amateurish production values are quickly forgivable, as the main character ponders, "Nothing is a waste that makes a memory..."
A killer soundtrack. Haunting techno score. Shadowy visuals.
A murky nightmare of passion and pain, as a young artist tries to escape the violent stomping grounds of his youth.

Poet struggles to save best friend
"The New Gods" Rules. The best of alterna-punk from the 90's. Truly indie in style and production values, yet slick enough to hold for the full 90 minutes.
The violent scenes can be rough, but overall a sometimes thrilling exploration of the costs of loyalty, and the advantages of selling out.

cool flick
Dreamy. Heartfelt. Original punk. The dialogue had some cool lines. Great music. Big Jack Kerouac fan, and the young lead actor looked exactly like Brad Pitt (from Vampire Chronicles).
