Angel stars as the wife of corp. executive John Leslie, and pic opens with them humping in bed. Annette Haven proves her acting chops as a conniving executive and Leslie's ex-girl friend. A board meeting sets up the central premise: R. Bolla announces that somebody is involved in corporate espionage, and the traitor will be found out and dealt with.
Janey Robbins is Bolla's shrewish wife, jealous of his affair with his secretary. Yet we are treated to her patented deep throat technique on Bolla. Haven is domineering, bossing her live-in boy friend sub Herschel Savage, and plot's romantic concatenations include Robbins having incestuous sex with her half-brother Savage, as he murmurs "we're not kids anymore" and romantic music plays.
Angel in sexy undies humps Bolla as the novelty tune "Mr. Big Shot, Show Me What You've Got" plays. Sharon Kelly, soon to become Colleen Brennan in this transition from soft-core career to the hard stuff, humps another exec Harry Reems, who doesn't have much of a role to play. He ends up finking on Haven, she being the traitor, while Angel's bedroom efforts earn hubby Leslie a promotion to v.p. Even as traitor, Haven's possession of 20% of company stock leaves her poised for a big showdown, but we'll never know what happens.
This is far better than today's norm of next to no plot, but all these shenanigans from an all- star cast ultimately amount to nothing.
The film follows the power struggles and backstabbing within the corporate world, with a boardroom full of executives scheming and sleeping their way to the top. The cast is led by Angel, who plays the wife of corporate executive John Leslie, and Annette Haven as a conniving executive and Leslie's ex-girlfriend. The supporting players include well-known adult film stars of the era, such as Harry Reems, Janey Robbins, and Sharon Kelly (Colleen Brennan).
The film opens with a bang, quite literally, as Angel and Leslie are seen "humping in bed." From there, the story unfolds with a board meeting where R. Bolla accuses an unknown traitor of corporate espionage. This sets the tone for a tale of greed, lust, and betrayal.
While the premise is intriguing, the execution falls flat. The plot is convoluted, with too many characters and side stories that lead nowhere. The focus is more on the sex scenes than the corporate intrigue, and as a result, the story feels thinly stretched and underdeveloped.
That being said, the cast does a commendable job with the material they're given. Angel and Annette Haven bring intensity to their roles, and their bedroom scenes are well-executed. Janey Robbins, as Bolla's jealous wife, delivers a memorable performance, showcasing her deep throat technique on Bolla despite her character's shrewish demeanor.
However, some characters are underutilized, such as Harry Reems, who has a minimal role, and Sharon Kelly, whose transition to harder fare feels rushed and underwhelming. The film also ends abruptly on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers hanging and yearning for a sequel that never came.
Tower of Power is a mixed bag. While it has its moments of pleasure and intrigue, the lack of a satisfying conclusion and the uneven pacing make it a less-than-memorable entry in the adult film genre.

Hugh: I'll tell you one thing. Fred Kingsley would like nothing better than to get something on me. And he's had the hots for you since the first time he saw you.
Linda Casey: Do you think if I let Kingsley jump on my bones that you'd get a promotion?
Hugh: Huh. I'd probably get another key to the executive washroom.
