Sakshatkara is the best Kannada movie of all time. Everyone must watch this movie in their life time. Puttanna Kanagal's Direction and Dr. Raj Kumar's (Annavru) acting combination is deadly. All songs are very nice with beautiful lyrics and mind blowing Music. Sakshatkara background theme music is really difficult to express in words such a fine music.

When I saw it for the first time! I was in tears. Puttanna creates one of the greatest magic through this movie. Rajkumar is the son of an estate owner, played with dignity by Prithvi Raj Kapoor. He loves bhavani. But Prirhvi Raj's wife wants Rajkumar to marry her brother's daughter. The condition worsens when the horoscope reveal that bhavani is suffering from angaaraka dosha which will lead to the death of the owner of the house. Prithvi Raj's wife along with her other son leaves her house and stays in her brother's (Balakrishna) house. Rajkumar comes to call her back. but his brother picks a fight with him. In the tussle the trigger of the gun is pulled, and the bullet lands on Rajkumar's mother's chest. What happens next is redemption. The celebration of Love.

Saakshatkara questioned so many clichés, and opposed the superstitious beliefs of the society. In a dialogue PrithviRaj says I believe in God and god cannot be a sadist to write such horrendous horoscope! More than star's will, it is human effort that makes the difference in our life. Bhavani waits for Rajkumar foe years and at last breathes her last breath on his laps. For her love was her prayer to attain Nirvana! Many films now a days, don't respect their audience's intelligence. But Puttanna was of different genre. This movie is one of the masterpiece with the combination of Legendaries Dr. Rajkumar, Puttanna Kangal and Prithviraj Kapoor. The theme of the movie is to showcase the greatness of the Love against cruel superstitious beliefs of Indian Society. The performances by each and every actor in this movie is master. The music is awesome. Lyrics are benchmark. Direction, there is no comparison. It says 'Olave Jeevana Sakshatkara', 'Love is the final realization of Life. Altogether its a evergreen movie of Kannada. And also it was the one of the most successful movie of Puttanna Kangal and Dr. Rajkumar.
