Los aventuras de Sherina

I don't know why this film gets a positive response for people who have finished watching it, the storyline in this film is very light and maybe they like it, become a favorite. The character developers of the antagonists are very messy, the quality of acting is poor, it is not very clear who Kertarajasa is, why he is so insistent on making an obscure project on the plantation.

Another thing that is very rubbish is the music in this film which is arguably below average, rhythm and intonation are classified as the same. No lyrics mean too much. Every second is presented an old-school backsound from the 50-70s. The director fell asleep, the messy cinematography !!!! Watching Sherina's Adventure which was released right in 2000 is like watching a movie that was released right in the decade of the 60s.

Sherina's Adventure just feels like a knock off and blatant copy of the classic movie "Matilda". Both of the movies shows the story of a brave and adventurous little girl in a new environment being threatened by some form of force. Suprisingly enough, even though I'm fully aware that this movie is practically Matilda but in a different setting, it was just better in most ways.

Sherina is just a much better representation of the word brave and more of the "boss girl" type. Whilst Matilda sometime feels like a cheeky brat and acts a bit dumb. Sherina is also shown to be more clever than Matilda, while Matilda is still definitely smart, just not as much as Sherina. The one thing that separates "Sherina's Adventure" with "Matilda" is the existence of a "love" relationship. Even though it's more of friendshiphood than love, Sherina having such a relationship in the movie just gives it the better edge.

Either way, "Sherina's Adventure" is an insanely fun movie, and of course it's a musical so the music is obviously also amazing. So what if its kind of a Matilda knock off? Atleast I'm having fun!

This was a perfect blend of musical drama, casts and scripts. All together become the greatest recipe that hard to beat even today (for indonesian film market). I'm proud that i spent my childhood watching this movie. The soundtracks, meanwhile, never getting old, made by the greatest composer that time.

In addition to Riri Riza's bravura direction, 'Petualangan Sherina' has a witty, smart script, lively songs, and charming performances from its cast. Pitch perfect from beginning to the end.

I love this musical drama movie!!!!!

Sherina still looks innocent, beautiful, cheerful, talented in acting and singing making the storyline of this movie not boring. The songs sung by Sherina were very nice to hear and the best in Indonesia throughout the century......... To be honest, while I watched this movie from start to finish, there was no swearing and dialogue using dirty languages. The scenes are completely natural and there are no adult romance scenes shown in this movie so it is safe to watch with your little ones and family. I highly recommend this movie, the best of all time!!!!!
