Los chicos del maíz 7: Revelación

This was just like sitting through the Lifetime Movie Network movie of the week where you got a chick who is a hero. But I have to say that Claudette Mink is so beautiful that she makes this movie worth watching... It didnt seem like "sequel" since it took place in some run-down apt building instead of the usual cornfields... No gore or violence here, but this is a lot better than Children of the corn 4,5 and 6 and that's not saying a lot since those 3 were awful!!!!!!!!

OK. First of all the plot summary listed here about fbi agents and a serial killer is completely inaccurate. The story here is about some chick coming to this weird hotel to try and find her missing grandma..uh huh. Any-who grandma was the only survivor of a child cult that burned themselves and,and...yawn. I am a fan of the Children of the Corn movies , I find them silly fun with all that "He who walks behind the rows" talk, but you can add this to the terrible list along with "Urban Harvest" (pt.3) and "The Gathering" (pt.4). First off it is a must that these movies be set in corn fields! not a hotel with a patch of corn along the edge! Also this movie is only 82 mins long and it uses about all those minutes to establish that something weird is going on, that these freaky mute kids running around are not right in the head.. well DUH! And Wow was the lead chick dumb in this, even at the end of the movie I still don't think she had a clue about anything. This film lacks the cheese of part 2, the fun of part 5 and the art of part 6. It also lacks a hell of a lot more, but I ain't got that much time. I hope this series lives forever, so I better submit my script for part 8! If this one didn't kill it for good. Okay, let me start off, this movie was poorly written, but I have to say that it was *really* scary. Especially the little boy and the little girl that always walked around and never talked. To tell you the truth, I never exactly liked the original film. One of the reasons I rented this was because on the back it mentioned it was from the producers of "Dracula 2000", which I enjoyed. Otherwise, I don't think I would have rented it. I give Children of the Corn: Revelation a 6 out of 10.

When a woman goes in search of her grandmother in a run down soon to be condemned apartment block she comes across the titular children and is pulled into "He who walks behind the rows" latest scheme.

The Children Of The Corn franchise was never exactly great but at least it has character, it had originality and the further in it has gone the more convoluted the plot has become and now it doesn't even resemble its humble beginnings.

The premise is dreadful, the script is lacking and with the exception of Michael Ironside (Who is barely in it) the cast aren't exactly doing much to improve it.

Not the worst of the franchise but certainly close this is a further example that this is being milked into obscurity and needs laying to rest before it becomes another Witchcraft (1988).

The Children Of The Corn have 1 weakness, video games!

I mostly wanted to respond to a review to this movie I just read. I'm a fan of the first movie. I have it on DVD, and never tire of it at all. Yet the review to this movie I just read completely bashed it and said it has no scares in it. I've been watching horror for MOST of my 20 years, and this movie gave me the creeps. Then again, I DID deliberately wait until 11 at night to watch it in the dark, so that added to the atmosphere. But it's not without it's horrific charm. Maybe it isn't a great Children of the Corn movie -- God knows the Second one stinks in comparison to the first, and the fourth one is pretty good. Yet this movie still stands a chance at good reviews if you don't compare it.
