A gritty, all-out, non-stop rush till the end.
I went into this movie hearing good things from a few friends that had seen it. Decided to take a spin and watch it with a friend. I was thoroughly impressed. The movie holds together well and Paul Walker actually pulls it off. The gritty feel of the movie and the stylization of it were really well done. The shoot-outs and gore were a bit over the top but for the setting of the movie it fit just right. The plot drags on a bit but remains interesting for the most part. There are a couple twist and turns along the way somethings that can easily be figured out some you may not expect. It's a gritty, mobster/noir film. I thoroughly enjoyed it and so did my friend. The ending was a bit shoddy and campy but doesn't destroy the movie. I'd recommend it to anyone that likes film noir, mobster movies, or anything with some good violence and a nice story to go along with it.
