I think the movie is great with a combination of action, drama and suspense. It is entertaining even though I don't really care for the bloody scenes. The lady scorpions are very talented and well-equipped with tactics for defense! I like that the director chose two women as protagonists and that they really nailed it! As someone who is a fan of martial arts and ninja moves, I recommend this movie to watch. I also think that the movie has some funny elements and so honestly this is something that movie viewers look forward to watch. And lastly, you can watch it in almost all digital platforms!
Looking forward to more of your work 😎.

This is a fun 90s B action movie. I don't know who the moron is who said that the soundtrack sucks because the soundtrack was actually really cool! The directors song choices kind of reminded me ofTarantino. And this guy did work on a lot of his films doing camera work.
I thought the plot was good and it had some nice twists. Only thing that really holds the movie back is, I love Cynthia but at her age I think she needs to use a body double for some of the action. I was just watching child O'Brien 2 and even back then for the dangerous stuff she used a stunt double.
There's some scenes where she pulls off some good kicks but other scenes she doesn't get her kicks high enough. But if you're a fan of people doing their own stunts it appears to be her most of the film. And her co-star is a badass martial artist.
In the movie she plays an aging detective who's trying to take down this crime Boss so maybe fighting is realistic for the character.
But as far as the director goes I really enjoyed his style. And there was some good action. I don't understand the guy that gave this 1 star. Some movies can be just fun action movies, not everything has to be perfect to enjoy it. It doesn't deserve 10 stars but it doesn't deserve one star either.

Lady Scorpions (2024) is an action-thriller meets family drama with a crime twist, directed by Bruce Del Castillo.
The legendary Cynthia Rothrock in top form as Alena Moore, a FBI agent who is thrust back into action when her granddaughter is kidnapped by a dangerous criminal organization.
Rothrock, as always, is a force to be reckoned with, and fans of her 80s work will not be disappointed. This time, she's joined by Caitlin Dechelle, who plays her daughter. Their bond is key to the film's emotional core, and their on-screen chemistry is fantastic. Together, they make a believable mother-daughter rescue team, and their dynamic elevates the story beyond a typical action flick.
The movie never lets up, delivering expertly choreographed fight scenes that will keep you glued to the screen. In a post-Covid world flooded with action movies that often lack originality, Lady Scorpion stands out due to its unique focus on family bonds, perfectly woven into the fast-paced action.
Rothrock fans will be pleased to know that the fights here are as brutal as ever-no holding back. This is the Cynthia Rothrock we all know and love, showing she can still take on the bad guys without missing a beat.
Overall, Lady Scorpions is a fun and fresh take on the action genre, with a perfect blend of family drama and high-octane thrills. Rothrock's fans will find plenty to love here, as she once again proves she never disappoints.

Well, the 2024 crime action movie "Lady Scorpions" was not a movie that I was familiar with. And since it was a movie that I hadn't already seen, of course I opted to give the movie a fair chance.
I am a little bit amazed with the fact that writers Stephen Carolan, Bruce Del Castillo and H. Daniel Gross collectively couldn't manage to churn out a more profound or layered script and storyline. Sure, the movie was watchable and entertaining enough for what it was, but it just wasn't a memorable movie. In fact, "Lady Scorpions" is a movie that you will watch once, then bag and tag it. However, it should be noted that if you enjoy the semi-plotless martial arts movies from the late 1980s and early 1990s, then you might get a bigger kick out of this movie. The movie was light in terms of storyline and narrative, and was carried by the fight scenes and action.
Of the entire cast ensemble, I was only familiar with Jeff Fahey and Cynthia Rothrock. The acting performances in the movie were fair, but nothing outstanding or memorable though.
The movie does have a fair amount of action and fighting, and it is essentially that which keeps the movie afloat.
Watchable for what it was, though I doubt that I will ever return to watch "Lady Scorpions" a second time.
My rating of director Bruce Del Castillo, whom also wrote and starred in the movie, movie "Lady Scorpions" lands on bland five out of ten stars.

It was tough to make it past the first two minutes. In the opening act, a 105lb pound woman with the physique of a heroin addict absolutely destroys two grown men in a martial arts style fight. I'm all about equality and giving women their moment, but this is just fantasy and isn't believable, not even with choreography and Hollywood. It's an insult to the average person's intellect to believe this is even remotely accurate. It's more of the same throughout the whole movie. 100 pound woman destroys middle-aged men that hit the gym and train MMA. Anyone who has trained in any fighting style knows these fights would last less than a few seconds outside of a sound stage.
If you like seeing emaciated women beat up men, you'll love this movie.
