" They went out for a pleasant stroll, it turned into a dead run." What started as a week-long adventure with friends quickly turns into a terrifying fight for survival in The Stairs. in 1997, a young boy is out hunting with his grandfather (Schneider), when he stumbles upon a mysterious staircase deep in the forest. The subsequent disappearance leaves locals baffled as to the fate of the wayward pair. Twenty years later, a group of hikers set off on an ambitious trail, deep into the same stretch of wilderness. With each step away from civilization they are pulled deeper into the treacherous trap of the mountain terrain where they stumble upon the same set of ominous stairs.

    When Creepypasta becomes a movie

    Two 70s stars lead the cast of this tax write off, but are only on the screen for five minutes. The rest is a predictable gore fest with a couple of fun jump scares.

    I have seen better, but I have seen worse. And at least it wasn't two hours of CGI.

    A lot better than most of these kinds of movies.

    For those who whine that the story made no sense, I ask, what about horror and the unexplained ever makes sense? It is, to be sure, your typical story about an encounter with the unknown, but it has a bit of a different approach. Give it a try. At least it is not one of the endless batch of "found footage" films that try to pass themselves off as an actual movie.

    SAVE YOUR MONEY

    This movie was all over the place. The monster was quite comical though. Throwback to decades ago. Terrible acting, choppy plot. Didn't know if it was horror, sci-fi, supernatural or what. Save your money please.

    I just wanna know who carved the big Sasquatch in the store scene. Best part of the movie. Of course I'm biased as I'm a professional woodcarver but whatever.

    1st 9 reviews are clearly fake

    This movie is terribly made with alot of stuff that made no sense or just flat out wasnt even attempted to be explained. Dont waste your time.
