Mr Black

I came to Mr Black reluctantly because the promos turned me off. They rendered what has turned out to be an hilarious and complex morality tale to be quite two dimensional. But I persisted and I'm glad I did. This is one of my favourite Australian comedies. It's smart, dry and full of wit. Stephen Curry is magnificent and Nick Russell and Sophie Wright are going to be stars. Last night's episode (episode 4) with its gun ownership theme is my favourite yet. Beautifully realised and I hope Channel 10 make more of it.

I didn't think I'd enjoy this father in law monster show, but I totally have. Sure, it's a familiar set up, but the writing and acting is excellent.

Old school funny. No PC bs which is strange for Aussie TV.

Also sexist, but it's just a tv show, so enjoy it and leave your political beliefs at the door.

This is comedy gold. Dry comedy with a dark and dramatic edge. Stephen Curry and Nick Russell go head to head in this intergenerational battle. Laughed from start to finish.

Stumbled upon this on TenPlay and thought it was excellent. Really funny dialogue and performances. Great jokes. Stephen Curry cements his reputation as a national treasure. Can't wait to see where it goes next.
