This is another boring movie from Netflix. You can sense the twists from miles ahead. The characters are plain and predictable. Watching this movie felt like watching a bad thriller from a decade ago. Just skip this.
Nothing made sense. Clichéd, haphazard storyline. Wasted my time.
One of the better Netflix efforts I've seen in awhile,You probably won't remember it in two weeks but it will pass 90 minutes
Dangerous Lies (2 out of 5 stars).
Dangerous Lies is a bad thriller that is a borefest with a story that is tedious, bad acting, and boring direction. The plot follows Kate (Camila Mendes) and Adam (Jessie T. Usher) who are assisting with an elderly Leonard (Elliot Gould). When he passes, he gave Kate the will to his house and money. Which sparks up a lot of interests from the detectives and a real estate Mickey (Cam Gigandet).
The plot was boring and nothing really happens. There are a couple of twists but nothing special. It is predictable and you will see characters trouble from a mile a way.
Camila Mendes is a beautiful actress. But her performance is flat. Jessie T. Usher is terrible. Cam Gigandet and Jamie Chung are horrible with their acting in the film. The script and director failed to deliver there performances and any thrills from the film.

I happened to watch this twice in a matter of two years, so, that should say something about the entertainment value.
Despite a few plot holes, unanswered questions and technically unconvincing details (like the procedures with a will) the story holds water and the lead actors do a fine job.
The dynamics of the married couple is what drives the story as it touches a nerve with the concept of trust, something very real with relationships be they soaked in murder mysteries or not.
The material is one that could have been elevated to A-lister levels, actually. Strangely, the further we go, the more b-movie vibes the film begins to give. And most of the previously mentioned flaws have been piled up in and close to the finale.
