I did not expected this kind of quality from a movie with a budget equal with the price of a full option Dacia Sandero.
Yes, the lines are forced and the haircuts are... lousy. But the most redeeming quality is that this movie manages to scratch that Hornblower or Honor Harrington itch.
The atmosphere is reminiscent of Das Boot. Not big on quality but the story is solid. You also have the plot of the "poor but noble family son that has to submit to an arranged marriage for economic reasons" and it really works. The good age with capture prizes and buying commissions in space is something that I encountered only in David Weber's "Honorverse" and I don't recall another movie, indie or otherwise to explore this idea.
Give it a go, it will be full of cringe moments but it also has suspense. I've seen John Travolta and John Cusack in worst sci fi movies than this one.

My husband and I really liked the movie. Looked for the series. Will look again. Ended abruptly so was looking for series. Wanted to watch more.

Really, I thought it was a bit cheap, with cheap acting, but when I saw it was a 20k budget, with everything on green screen and actors mapped over backgrounds, well, then I'm impressed!
I've seen very cheap productions, and it doesn't look cheap. Visuals were great, story could have bbeen better and with more depth, but then again, everyone was a newbie on the screen.
I think they should have made a movie instead of a 7 short episodes, and maybe they should have more practiced, or get counceling from expermiented actors, to add more "punch" to the acting.

Making a good film for $20K is unreasonable. This isn't a good film. I'm sure it was a good learning experience and I'd like to see future work from these people, with a much bigger budget. There is a good story here but the script needs work, the dialogue is poor and the acting is generally bad. On the positive side, the actor who plays the chief of the boat is good, the effects are decent and the atmosphere on board a small ship is pretty close. Overall, a nice try.
Starinspectors review was spot on. I do want to point out two positives. Considering the budget watch it again this time for the sound effects, editing of special f/x and the soundtrack. In my opinion those people were the most talented. Well done. I liked it.

- CuriosidadesThe entire show was shot on green screen and composited into digital sets; in all, 14 digital sets were created and the entire first season was storyboarded and planned out using these sets and digital mannequins to represent the actors (who had not yet been cast). Every camera angle was carefully measured and recorded, allowing the filmmakers to recreate each digital shot and match the lighting on set months later. Over 300 individual camera angles were shot, every one of them a VFX shot requiring green screen replacement, atmospheric elements, and blending.
