After having the privilege of meeting Christina and hearing her passionately discuss the pressing issue of human trafficking, my curiosity was piqued, and I was compelled to watch her documentary, "The New Abolitionists." I must say, it was nothing short of eye-opening. The film provides an unflinching look into the harrowing world of modern-day slavery. Christina's adept storytelling shines through, weaving together tales of heartbreak and resilience that demand the viewer's attention from start to finish.
It's rare to come across a documentary that not only educates but also inspires its audience to action. "The New Abolitionists" does just that. By shedding light on the tireless efforts of committed abolitionists, Christina ensures that their work and the stories of the trafficked are neither forgotten nor ignored. This film is a poignant reminder that there's much to be done, and we all have a role to play in ending this heinous crime. Highly recommended for anyone who believes in the power of cinema to incite change.

Everyone, every adult needs to see this film. If you think you have some idea of what trafficking and slavery is, you will likely find that you have underestimated the reality of how it occurs and the effect it has on the most innocent human beings. This film educates, informs and reveals the truth. It is painfully beautiful, shocking and real. The filmmaker manages to bring positive light to the darkest content by allowing us to see the hope that victims find despite the trauma they endure. Important, life changing, beautiful and inspiring are words I'd use to describe Zorich's illuminating documentary.

I happened upon this documentary via the On Demand channel. I'm relieved that there are people in this world who felt that this issue was important enough to make into a documentary.
It's staggering how few people know about sex trafficking, how prevalent it is and that it often times involves children. Especially in today's world, where information is so easily exchanged through the advancement of technology. Yet ironically it's technology that helps facilitate this crime.
My hope is that this film will be a watershed moment. That it will spark a movement by introducing people to this dark reality that's hidden right under our noses.
It is a must-watch!

Boston Strong to all the woman and children who are rebuilding their lives.... Christina Zorich has produced an incredible film that we all need to see and I salute you and thank you !!!
Christina Zorich has delved into the atrocity of human sex trafficking by exploring the causes and examining the situations that put the victims at risk for exploitation. I came away understanding more about this global problem. The interviews with the anti-traffickers and those that have been rescued are deeply moving and insightful. I am inspired to see them working to help these women and children rebuild their lives, their sense of self worth and their sense of purpose. The ministries that provide them with food, shelter and safety have my greatest respect. They are dedicated to the rescue of those that have been lured, kidnapped and trapped, and the fight continues. It is beautifully shot, to show us the underbelly of the beast, yet with care to preserve human dignity. Zorich has made a brilliant film and I applaud and support her commitment to this cause.
