Future Fear is an intriguing indie sci-fi anthology that offers a collection of thought-provoking narratives set in a dystopian future. With its ambitious storytelling and creative approach, the film presents a series of interconnected segments that explore themes of survival, technology, and human resilience.
The film's atmosphere is immersive, making effective use of lighting, sound, and cinematography to create a sense of tension and unease. Despite its indie budget, Future Fear finds ways to bring its world to life, using a mix of practical effects and creative visuals.
The performances are solid, with the lead delivering an engaging portrayal that helps ground the more abstract elements of the story. While some segments feel stronger than others-a common trait in anthology films-the overarching narrative ties them together in an intriguing way.
For fans of independent sci-fi, Future Fear offers a unique experience. It may not have the polish of big-budget productions, but its ambition and storytelling make it worth a watch for those who appreciate thought-provoking sci-fi with an experimental edge.

I watch a lot of super low budget films and find sci-fi and horror can still be entertaining at the zero budget level. Because an idea, even with poor special effects, is still interesting to me.
One or two of the segments are student grade, but a couple of the others had something to say and I appreciated that. The "Isolation" short, in particular, had something to say that will probably ensure that filmmaker won't be working in Hollywood any time soon. But that's exactly the kind of thing that makes watching these small independent films worthwhile. They say things the big boys won't/can't say.
Cinematography and production values are hit and miss, but if you're the kind of person who watches low budget indie sci fi/horror, hoping to find humor or alternative world views, then you might enjoy this.
Overall, it's probably a 3 star effort, but I'm adding two stars out of support for the higher effort segments that took risks.

I've watched a lot of grade C movies in my time, and some of them managed to be amusing (intentionally or otherwise), or mildly entertaining in some way. This is not one of those. This movie is so bad it's difficult to articulate exactly how bad it is.
There's not a single redeeming quality. Concept, story (only charitably could you say there's a coherent story here), production, script, acting....so bad none of the people responsible for these should ever be permitted to work in the industry again. Forget the more refined aspects of movie-making, such as continuity, editing, effects...they're nonexistent. I can't believe anyone would have even funded this project it's so bad.

Easily the worst film ever. I could've made a better movie in my backyard starring myself, my wife, my 2 sons and my dog. How the hell is this on Netflix?! No amount of me telling you how bad this movie is can justify how bad this slop is. Do yourself a favor. Go watch paint dry instead.
No need to watch the entire movie.
5 minutes of it was enough to understand how poorly the actors are. The editing is terrible. Everything is made of plastic and you can clearly see it. I try to watch some other scenes in the movie to see if it was about to be better, but you can bet your salary it is not. It seems to get worse and worse. This ain't a movie, this is a primary school long métrage.
Very bad.
If you want to waste your precious with a good apocalyptic movie, there are plenty of them. I strongly recommand anything but this one. I am pretty sure my deaf dog can make a better movie, and can act way better than these actors.
