Mi obsesión por Becky

There have been a couple of cheerleader movies recently on Lifetime. The cheerleader isn't the wrong one here. It's a guy who isn't right in the head as he becomes her over possessive jealous boyfriend . This movie has more depth than standard Lifetime fare - quite nicely paced and the actors are convincing enough. Cristine Prosperi is the sweet cheerleader. David Meza plays the hot tempered boy quite well. It's good that they went into some background for the abuse including alcohol and a nasty father. Quite sinister the convincing nature of his apologies. The abusive relationship mirrors a grown up drama. Actually quite suspenseful.

One of the better "Wrong" movies.

Why would you have a movie where someone takes their glasses on and off over 100 times during the movie?? Heck I forgot what the movie was about....

A little embarrassed that this is my first review but I just signed up for IMDB and just watched another social distancing snoozer. Storyline 4/10. Acting 4/10. Suspense 1/10. And the thing that most stands out... The lead/crazy male looks like he's 35 years old! Couldn't they have found anyone else?!?!

Needless to say that I had, of course, never even heard about a movie such as this prior to stumbling upon it here by random chance here in 2025. And since I believe in giving all movies a fair chance, especially if I haven't already seen them, then of course I opted to check out "The Wrong Cheerleader". Wait, that sounded sort of wrong.

Regardless, writers Adam Rockoff, Jeffrey Schenck and Peter Sullivan put together an okay script and storyline. I mean, it was watchable and entertaining for what it was, but this was by no means a gemstone in cinema. Predictable, sure, and the writers were pretty much playing it safe by cashing in on all the established tropes of similar cheerleader-themed thrillers.

Of the entire cast ensemble, I was only familiar with Vivica A. Fox. The acting performances in the movie were fair. So Vivica A. Fox was in this movie titled "The Wrong Cheerleader" playing Coach Flynn, and then one year later she showed up in "The Wrong Cheerleader Coach" as Coach Burke.

This is the type of movie that you watch once, then never return to it a second time.

One of the worst Movies I've ever seen, bad acting bad everything. I couldn't even finish it, I stopped watching after 10 minutes. Garbage....
