We Hunt Together

Brits love their police procedurals even more than Americans and this one is certainly top-notch entertainment.

The entire cast is fantastic and I really love to hate the rude, dysfunctional Lola, while liking and sympathizing with the engaging Jackson who, despite his upbeat manner, keeps getting knocked down. No good deed goes unpunished with Jackson. And DSI boss-woman Susan Smart is hilarious as the person most likely to close a case before the real killer is found.

Freddie is forever facinating and the emerging killer from season 2 is mesmerizing and brillant. I hope to see more of him!

Fingers crossed that this great, contemporary cat and mouse game will be renewed for season 3 and beyond.

Ok so I watched the whole series in one day. I thought it was excellent. Dark and dingy with some funny moments. Hermione Corfield is incredible. I've never seen her before so knew nothing about her but she was really strong as the main protagonist. Eve Myles is a good as ever as the tainted detective trying to catch the young Corfield. The whole cast here does a sterling job and I was sorry when it ended. I could have watched a lot more. Hopefully there will be a second season .

I found this series after finishing up Season four of Killing Eve, and noticed a startling resemblance with the principal characters. For a British crime procedural, it's quite good, without overly heavy leaning on common tropes. Certainly watchable, and I always enjoy Eve Myles' work.

Well acted from everyone, and a lot to think about with characters that are far from "normal" Mainly dark moments with a little bit of humour thrown in - great cast - well worth watching.

I'm not sure how I feel about this series. I liked it but it did irk me too. Some nice performances which hide the story weaknesses. There were too many plotting conveniences, logic problems, plot holes and poor procedural research in the latter episodes. I think it's a mistake to carry on with Freddy's story. It'll be too much like Killing Eve.
