To be very truthful the plot was twisted but little, babul supriyo character was thrown in all of a sudden then taken out as quickly, his talent remained underutilized and finally the weak script overshadowed by the milestone created by baishe srabon. It is a fair TV movie, that's it.
The pick up tone of the film was very much unique. And the plot too developed in an intense manner. But somehow if the end was kept open and left for the audience it would have been the highest grossing film and plot itself would have created a lot of fanbase. But somehow the introduction of some bizzard logics related to mental health issues went over my mind. I was disappointed by the ending. But the performances were great including Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Anirban Bhattacharya and Rwitobrata Mukherjee.
This is the worst film Srijit has made in his entire life, literally its a garbage.
I should say one thing,we always like to see unexpected things happenning in the ending of a thriller movie.... but there is a little gap between probable unexpectedness and quite impossible unexpectedness...this is where the film went wrong...again the finding process of Khoka was just too much simple...the middle part of thrilller film will be like the middle game of Mikhail Tal....but it just kept on showing other things becoming a bit indiffernt to the murders...something like the position that an old man gets in a house!
Being an aspiring Filmmaker I watched this movie little differently. First of all the story is 10/10 no doubt. But the Screenplay is dense near the end (as like 22 e srabon ). Being a non-linier playscript it is heavily disoriented throughout the movie. Editing and Colors have their flaw 100% but it didn't looked too bad or like the director (Srijit) forced it to be what called different. Some parts of the movie is shamelessly influenced by foreign directors (Todd Phillips). The cinema is all the way on the shoulder of "22 e srabon" which gave it an advantage in the first place in the proof of that Srijit puts a big chucks of 22 e srabon in this film. Although it's an "True sequel" but it felt like he was using 22 e srabon as a nostalgia to make us like this film which is awkward and at the same time silly. At the end as a job of a director Srijit Mukherjee did a normie or as we call it as average job,but due to the strength of the story he hardly balanced it to be a good film. And why I am praising only about the story is, when you get out of the theater, the only thing that would stuck in your matter is one and only the story but nothing else. Although in the first hour there's a bunch of sprouts that should enjoy the audience. Dialogues are balanced and little bended towards psychology as it should in the sequel but it is good, not more & not less than being godd. The acting is impeccable just impeccable. And the Cinematography is okaish. The film should get a 5.5 to 6 out of 10 in my consciousness but the overall film is not that bad.
