Kalidasa Kannada Meshtru

A year back, the movie "Sarkari Hr. Pra. Shaale" had highlighted the sad state of Kannada in Kasaragodu and was a huge success. This film also deals with a similar idea, albeit with some more diverse perspectives.

The film portrays a diverse set of perspectives with a mix of humour, sentiments and some melodrama. The plight of Kannada schools being shut down due to the political pressure and corruption rampant in society to benefit private English medium schools is shown in a rather heart-rending manner. The film also makes a point in showcasing that it is only money that matters for most of the people.

The film becomes somewhat melodramatic in the second half and the screenplay tends to be sightly disappointing towards the climax.

Navarasa Nayaka Jaggesh gives an entertaining performance. Meghana Gaonkar has also acted well. The children who have acted in the film also play important in the success of the film. The music and songs are melodious and soothing to the ears.

Overall, this movie is a poignant take on how badly English has stymied the progress of Kannada. It has all the factors in it, making it a good choice to watch and spend some time with the family.

Good Movie. Everybody acted very well in the movie. Songs were OK in the movie. BGM was good in the movie BY Gurukiran. The movie had no unwanted scenes. The movie somewhat lagged at 2nd half. The movie was not at all boring. The comedy scenes in the movie was good by Jaggesh Sir, Good movie. Must get national award.

At one level the film is a domestic drama about a nouveau girl who has ended up marrying a Kannada 'meshtru' who cannot save his life reciting Twinkle twinkle little star. It is also the story of the Kannada teacher who is fighting a losing battle against the private English-medium schools. And finally the film is about all the kids who find themselves imprisoned in schools every day. There are also other narratives to choose your pick. That is also one of the drawbacks of the film; there is excessive digression of the point-of-view.

This is a revolutionary movie it is going to change people mindset towards present Indian system crazy parents thinks if their kids joins private schools only kids will be intelligent that's wrong thinking there are so many sachin tandulkar, JRD TATA,APJ Abdul Kalam, kishoreKumar etc..So support Govt schools avoid private schools admission think they wants to make money that's all .

Good family movie. There is a message, this movie teaches a great lesson to the society and this is really a great movie, watch & learn..
