I'll never forget my high school friends is a heartfelt and at times emotional film that captures the essence of growing up and going your separate ways perfectly. Usually, films about growing up are cliche and repetitive, it's not to say that this film doesn't have some cliche parts however but, the actors play their roles really well and cover up these moments excellently whilst feeling like true teenagers spending their last summers together. The handheld camera style of filming really suits the film as we see two different perspectives on life and I really enjoyed that. Although the pacing is a bit off at times, I really enjoyed this film and is well worth a watch.
"I'll Never Forget My High School Friends" is a story of five friends .It is basically a collection of recordings of interactions among them. .It takes the audience to the journey of their friendship, its ups and downs and how their friendship evolved or devolved over time. It can be described as a keepsake box of all the memories that they made together. The opening song and title of the movie are enough to gain attention of the audience and to make them nostalgic. The idea that a lot of changes occur in life; how the dynamics of a friend group change when two friends enter into a relationship is addressed in the initial part of the movie. On the other hand, the second half depicts how with passage of time friendships and relationships drift apart due to distance and change in likes or dislikes. The emotions and feelings that were felt very deeply at one point tend to disappear with time. But the impact that friends have over one another can never be forgotten. Despite having all the elements, the movie becomes dull and less impactful due to poor execution. After a while, the handheld camera angles and poor focus makes your head-reeling. So the "handheld footage style" that is the core of this movie was also the weak point. The characters and acting were average. Overall, it was a good attempt but it leaves a lot to be desired.

This movie is a hidden gem. Once you get through the first couple scenes, you start to get invested in the friend group drama and the camera work adds to the authenticity. It feels nostalgic and is definitely relatable, making you want to see it through to the end and see the outcome. It really feels genuine, especially in moments where the characters are being vulnerable and "turn off" the camera, but they just put it down at a hidden angle. It made me think back on great high school memories and left me with a pure, light hearted feeling. If you're looking for a cute, feel good movie then this is for you. Even if you're not, you should still give it a watch!
