Not Quite Lost

Fairly impressive cinematography and a captivating lead performance carry this short, which is otherwise bogged down by poor supporting performances and screenwriting inexperience. Compressed into a short runtime, the emotion of the piece doesn't have space to breathe, rushing to the conclusion rather than creating fleshed out characters that the audience can empathise with. The writing felt slightly on the nose with communicating themes and messages, but mastering this comes with time and experience. Overall, this short is great for a debut, especially considering the impressive lead performer also wrote and directed the piece. Although it didn't check every box, genuine potential can be found here.

This short is superbly directed, showcasing devoted acting (from the lead) and professional level camera work. The opening long-take is particularly impressive. While the story is relatively straightforward and basic, most of it is skillfully conveyed through the cinematography (which is an impressive feat especially for a debut film). Overall very well done, I've been excited about this since you announced it a while ago and it held up to my expectations!

This movie was at times outstanding, and at times it clearly needed some work. The lead is a very good actor, but the other actors... weren't. It already looks professional at times, and considering this is a debut, it definitely has a lot of potential.

For a first timer doing a story like this, he hits this really well! I see a very bright future for him.

This guy creates some amazing trailer work on YouTube, and it's cool to see another piece of work from Mr. Krepshus. Nice little short film here, lovely filming work and it looks the part, acting is alright too and the narrative kept me watching, I love seeing short films, especially dramas, to see how they can keep me hooked and this one does the job!
