Lucky Break

Neat little indie short film, with a nice nocturnal atmosphere and running sense of unease. Not precisely hilarious and strangely feels a little flabby despite the length but has some compelling narrative lurches, a nice ending and the performances are pretty sharp throughout. Decent.

There's nothing more to add but to reach the word limit I think I'll add that I've always thought late night petrol station shifts are always a fantastically untapped source for comedic tensions and atmosphere ever since I first saw naeturvaktin, the Icelandic sitcom, on BBC4 yonks ago. Go watch it, it's brilliant.
